Anchored by Publix Supermarket, the center is expected to open in the fall of 2017. The development features 89,000 square feet of GLA plus 3 pad sites totaling over 3 acres.

The project began in 2013 and is comprised of a 7 parcel assemblage totaling  22 acres. Requiring a rezone, extensive off-site improvements by North Carolina DOT that included complex negotiations to secure temporary construction easements and corresponding ROW agreements, utility easements with Duke Energy and finally site plan approval by the Town of Indian Trail and other regulatory approvals required by Union County Public Works, The Shoppes at Hanfield Village began its construction in January of 2017.
